I wanted to add a new look here for summer... hot hot summer colors inspired by a journal page I just finished. The journal page is not too fabulous but I do like the colors. I have spent a couple of days trying to make a banner I could put here. I forget how from one change to another, lol. Finally today much better!
And, as I have been out on the tractor to the back of the property to gather rocks, I get to see all the beauty of the desert...the wild flowers have been wonderful this year again and some of the things I have planted are pretty too, thanks to our more than average rainfall. The drought is over, at least for this year and things look so much more lush. Love that.

This one looks like a dandylion but I don't think it is. It is about two foot tall and the globe is at least three inches in diameter. Interesting!
A catalpa tree showing it's stuff and smelling so good!
HRH calls these buttercups but really they are so far unidentified desert flowers that surround me in May and June.
The lavender bushes seem to feel good and are covered in spikes this year.
The cacti all had lots of blooms... so vibrant!
Every year I say I am going to take a picture of the yellow cactus blooms and this is the first year I actually got one. Usually, by the time I get around to it, they have finished!
We had a bull nettle blooming along the road and it was beautiful but it is gone now too as is the purple sages along the rock wall. I have to go trimming soon.

Hi Carol,
I am back from my vacation! Had a fantastic time and missed you.
Love all the lovely photos. The third one of the little yellow flowers, those are just "Wild Flowers"! I used to get those by the side of my home when I lived in Arizona. :)
Hugs and talk soon
