My son gave me a 6" roll of metal tape to play with. I took off about 10 inches, which was wrinkled and rather wear worn to play with. I used a plastic ruler to smooth it out. Then, allowed the wrinkles to tell me what to doodle around the edges, added the hearts and swirls in the center using that tool with the tiny metal balls on the end... I think they are called stylus. Now, I am going to play today with trying to add some color to it. I do not have alcohol inks and don't want to buy more supplies so I am going to play with what I have to see what I can do. This is fun and I am pretty sure I will do more, once I have figured out the coloring process.

Golden Fluid acrylics will work, as will Sharpies, though sometimes they are streaky.
I used to do foil on paper and then use the fluids....pretty easy and very nice!

Very nice Carol!. I've got to try this.
Hi Carol,
I can see you had fun with the metal tape. The texture and shapes that you made on it looks cool. Can't wait to see the colored piece.
Hugs and have fun
