The Ugly Little Buggers Art

I played with some fabric scraps one day, just sorta sewed some together.  Finally, when I had a couple of pieces big enough, I folded the pieces in half and free motion sewed some "doll" shapes, leaving a spot open to stuff.  I turned the little buggers and stuffed them, then embroidered faces on them.  I am just playing you see.  They were pretty ugly... colorless...no point to them.  They lay about in my sewing basket I keep by my tv watching chair, totally ignored, the little ugly buggers!  But a day or two ago, alas, they were the only things in my sewing basket.  Everything else had been completed!  So, once again, I picked up the little ugly buggers and started to stitch on them, just because they were there, and I have tons of embroidery floss, so tossing something out would not be a big loss.  And, I thought, I could practice some of the embroidery stitches I intend to get better at.  I started with a chain stitch... yep, I think I am getting that down pretty good.  And then I just added some stitches here and there until I could not find another place I wanted to stitch.  And, the ugly little buggers are not quite so ugly now... kind of quirky really, lol.

And, so today, I sewed up three more bodies to throw in my sewing box and got another glossy project ready to work on too.  If tv gets too boring, they will be waiting for me!  Yea!

Those ugly little bugger scraps became cut little dollies thanks to your creativity!

They are funny little critters--but certainly not ugly!! And now you have mastered the chain stitch!
