I have often heard the phrase "remains of the day" in the art groups I belong to. It is evidently a way of using up scraps of things. I have not really paid much attention to it, but the phrase is rather catchy, don't you think?
So, I have a box or two sitting around in my studio rooms, and when ever I finish a project, I toss all the scraps and such into the boxes. Lately, they have been very full! So, since I seem to be in a sewing frenzy mode, I took one of the boxes to the sewing room. I sorted through the papers, sewing them together in a random fashion. Just stitched what ever came up next onto the piece on the machine. I started with reds and when I ran out of that color I did blues. I really kinda like the looks of the sheets of paper I ended up with. I think I shall make something from them soon. I just have to figure out what. And I have lots more colors to work on if I get the sewing urge again, lol.

And, in the mail today, I received an altoid tin from the swap over in mmartfriends group. Here is the tin, with it's beautiful embellishment, and all the goodies that were inside. I am gonna love doing something with the vintage looking buttons, and the charms!

I will be interested in seeing what you do with your papers. I have a bin full of scraps that I use when I make paper fabric.
Ooh! Yummy contents!! Have fun playing!
