Strathmore Journal Art-Lesson 2

Here are my pages with the second lesson applied.  I love how they look, starting to take on a painterly look which is cool.  I got to dig out and use some art supplies that I have neglected for awhile-woodless graphite pencil, oil pastels and shiva paint crayons!  Nice!

The change from the first lesson is  interesting.

The gesso wash last is something I have not used much.

Interesting what emerges as you work.

Interesting what the pages tell you to write too.

Who knows where the next step will take these pages!

And, Milliande's Zebra prompts in which I am much dissappointed.  I think it has to do with having no heart for the subject!

The black, white, and red colors are not a thrill to me.  The z striped tissue helped1

And again, the colors are so ughhhhhhhhhhhh!

And, over in the sketchbookproject group we started playing with the fairy name generator so I have to show you my fairy and her name!

I have said this time and again.  Sometimes I have so much art to show, then one day I find that everything I have done is here for you to see and I have to search for something to post.  I still have several projects to show you that have nothing to do with on line challenges!

Your strathmore pages are looking good! I'm working on mine tomorrow. I finished today's milliande prompt--I skipped a couple of days. And haven't made my fairy yet--so many projects!!

Your pages are looking very painterly! Very well done! One day I'll explore the mixed-media pages, but I want to concentrate on watercolor for now. This does look fun though and makes me want to try it!

I agree with your thoughts on Milliande's January idea. I really don't like zebras (as shown in my rebellion).

Sadly, I am not thrilled with the Strathmore project, either. BUT - I am finding some fabulous art, which makes me smile, and making so art that pleases me, so it's a win.

The best thing for me has been recognizing what I like, and giving myself permission to not like other kinds.

Come join me in my nest. Rest online with me. Talk with me. Play art with me! Follow me where ever my flights of fancy take me! Forgive me for my mistakes, enjoy my successes. And please, feel free to comment or to follow me!
