As you might possibly know, I have been on a "mission" (tongue in cheek) to use up stuff in my art stashes. This last week, I decided that I would put to use all those frames stacked in the corner of the garage. So, I dug out my stacks of art efforts and randomly started putting the art into frames. I already knew this from years ago, but I am amazed all new again, at how much better my art looks framed! Everyone should try this on a few pieces, just for the feeling you get at seeing what you have labored and pained over looking so much better! Yeah! I have more art pieces than frames, so today I am trying to think creatively at how else I could frame them. I know a piece of wood painted black would work. And there is coiled wire for hanging methods. Do you have any suggestions?
Collages and colored pencils, and drawing, oh my
Faces and dancing girls too
Drawings in collages
Playful and happy colors
Still boring after todays treatment lol even tho now in my head I call it a rose among roses
The purple cat is a bit greyer today...
And, while I was at this, I found a few recent pieces of art that I reworked. The colors were too bright (you might have seen them posted earlier) and in the case of the rose... it was, and I am thinking still is, just plain boring. One of the reasons I don't do what I refer to as calendar art... you know the scenes and such... is because I find it boring, for the most part. I am going to make the rose not boring, if it kills me...or the rose, lol!

You could alternate your pieces in the frames--change them out once a month--where are you going to hang all of them?

Great Job!

Hi Carol,
I love how your art pieces look framed. I was looking at your rose and if it was mine I would add orange where the white areas are.
I have uploaded several thingss to my blog. Please have a look and leave some comments. :)
