Many years ago, at an auction, I bought a box with three drawers of black cardboard sticky backed letters. There must have been thousands of letters in three different sizes. The box was marked with a business and indicated they were for "library supplies." I have had them for about 15 years and I think they must be very very old. I have used these letters for so many projects over the years! Since I decided I wanted to focus on really letting happiness get into my head so I could always say "I am sooooo happy" I decided to add the word "happiness" to my vision board. I dug out my boxes of letters, picked around for the letters I need and gave the black a nice coat of blue gesso. After a couple of days of drying, I brought them to my recliner, where I try to keep my feet up as much as I can as the Dr. says they will heal faster and better the more I keep them up. Using my lap desk, I gave them some happy looking doodles.
Next I will give them a bit of a piece of magnetic tape on the back and onto the "blue moon" I made from a moon I had painted months back, which I keep on my vision board.
My next steps will be to add some sort of illustration for each of the senses.
I have lots of things I am working on, but I hesitate to put too many scans of things here at once. I hope you too are feeling a great "surge" of energy towards art projects!

Sounds like that auction find has continued to give throughout the years! Your Happiness letters turned out Bluetiful!
Love seeing the letters on the waxed paper...that sight was motivationg enough. Then the embellishments on the letters was lovely, so you're off to a great start in 2010, kid!
Like your letters. I think its important to keep the word where you will see it often. Otherwise it will be forgotten.
