Home Retreat Journal

Here is a map I did playing around on the black pages of this home retreat journal.  I am still not way in love with gel pens.  Of course, many of mine are fairly old, so maybe the color isn't what it would have been if they are new.  I have had many that don't work anymore.  I one time tried to rejuvenate some gel pens by standing them up in a cup of almost boiling water.  No luck.  Now, I am thinking, maybe some dry heat might work.  I will give it a try soon.  One time I tried putting a drop of blender fluid in the end of the pen, but it just went on the outside of the ink barrel so really didn't help.  When I taught school, I put the pens that wouldn't work in a holder so the students could use them in paper folding projects.  They are one of the best tools ever for scoring paper!  They don't cut the paper but truly score it!  I don't remember ( I think my rememberer has been affected by the surgery) if I put the visitors and activities pages on before so I just put them here and if I put them up, well.....I don't know, look again or ignore I guess, lol.

You've got me giggling with all your dry gel pen experiments. My favorite white pen which writes beautifully on black gesso and acrylic paint is a Uni-ball Signo broad white pigment ink UM-153.
Those birds are great! I'd like to travel your hidden treasures map.
