DORSB Practices

Continuing on with DORSB Practices we were to do what I call a modified contour of our hand holding something.  I had been using some embroidery thread on the hot bird so since that was handiest, I drew the contour, checking my progress whenever I needed to.
The shoe was a practice to concentrate on the negative spaces, and draw those more than drawing the subject.  This is the only pair of sneakers I own and they are black and I did not like drawing it. But, a good excercise for practicing, don't you think?  Yeah, you can always find a shoe to draw, lol.

Yes, you might have one shoe off and one shoe on! Hard to believe you only own one pair of tennis - I live in Sketchers (white, tan, brown, and black). Your hand and thread contour is wonderful!
