Quilt Blocks
I decided to make my dh a quilt. I have not made a man size quilt since maybe the 1980's. Here are some snaps of the blocks. I have them all sewn together and ready to start the next step which is getting the sandwich put together. Then, the fun begins. I am going to do free motion quilting. At least that is my plan at the moment. I hope I can do it. I have been researching and reading and watching videos on how to do fm and it really doesn't look like it will be too bad. The fabric in the blocks is light weight cotton or blend maybe. I am not sure because all of it I bought at yard sales. It looks rather like a denim quilt, doesn't it? I used to make denim quilts to use for camping. And when my son got into high school and he had to have a king size bed because he was tall, I made him a denim bed spread. Now, denim would be too heavy for me unless I kept it way small. Some day, I will be showing the finished product, I hope.

A handmade quilt is a labor of love and always seems to be more comfy and warm. He's going to love this!
It's going to be beautiful - no doubt he'll enjoy it for many years.
Hope your feet heal quickly and you're soon back on, well lol, your feet!

Since I'm not a seamstress, I admire your immense talent for quilting. Your hubby is so lucky to have you in his life...
What a resourceful and creative woman you are! And what a great looking quilt that's going to be.
Three cheers!
