Sketches-Some Good, Some Bad, All Fun
Do you try to do something creative everyday? I do. I like to mix it up too. I make ATCs, I make paper, I make books, I sew oddities, I put a bead and some embellishments here and there, I do collages. And lately I joined EDM and so trying to draw and sketch as often as I can. I first thought I would do it daily, but, that is a bit much. I want to get my "drawing skills" back into tip top shape and the only way is to excercise the thing. So, today, I am showing you one of the prompts-self portrait. This is an excercise I think is good for artists. It makes one really practice "draw what you see!" I have NOT made it to that point yet. But, for now, this is what I did....
It is done with a found pencil on some sort of found paper that is kinda bluish gray. The paper is nice to draw on. I have regular art pencils but for some reason, I always seem to use any old pencil that is handy. Many times I will use mechanical pencils... kinda like those. Age and wrinkles are hard to draw. You have to do the light medium and dark and it takes lots of time!

This is quite nice, and I agree that age is hard to show on a face in a sketch.
You've done quite nicely,
xoxo
